HIP staff and associates make a range of podcast genres. These include the popular chatcast, a talk-based format  in which two or more people discuss their preferred topic of interest or expertise, or its fun sibling, the ‘chumcast’, in which hosts riff in a friendly, bantering way about a mutual passion.

But the HIP is especially interested in crafted audio storytelling forms: beautifully wrought narrative podcasts that artfully combine voice, music and sound itself to tell engaging, immersive stories that draw the listener in as co-creator. These narrative podcasts are based on deep research, crystalline writing, a delicate sound sensibility and polished sound design. When these elements are honed via strong narrative stakes and a coherent episodic structure, these podcasts can deliver addictive storytelling. That’s our aim!
